Batman: Arkham Knight Announce Trailer, Kevin Conroy Returns as Batman [Video]

If you've been wondering why the most recent release in the Batman: Arkham franchise, Batman: Arkham Origins, isn't developed by Rocksteady, this will answer it for you. And that's because Rocksteady Studios returns to the Arkham with Batman: Arkham Knight, the final game in the video game series.

Set one year later after the events of Batman: Arkham City, this game features Batman in his prime. Scarecrow returns as the main supervillain, gathering Batman's greatest enemies in a plot to finally kill the Dark Knight. Kevin Conroy also returns as the voice of Batman, just as he accidentally hinted at in a convention last year. Fans rejoice!

Unlike Batman: Arkham Origins, the game will go back to single-player only as multiplayer mode won't be in the game. Speaking in the latest issue of Game Informer, game director Sefton Hill stated, "This is a single-player game. There is no multiplayer. Right at the start this was our vision. It's going to take all of our effort for all of this time. We don’t have the time to do multiplayer."

Hill then goes on to say that they will deliver the best single-player experience they can and that the game didn't need the multiplayer element.

Moving on, a trailer has just been released to accompany the announcement. Thomas Wayne talks over all throughout the video while Bruce beats up criminals and do other Batman stuff.

Unfortunately, this game will ditch the last gen and be exclusively available to next-gen consoles, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. But if you don't have any of those two, like me, don't worry for this will also be available for the PC.

Batman: Arkham Knight will be released on October 14, 2014 worldwide.
