As promised, the full trailer of Guardians of the Galaxy premiered on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night. The clip shows Rhomann Dey (John C. Reilly) introducing each member of the group - Peter Quill a.k.a. Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Drax the Destroyer (Batista), Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper), and Groot (Vin Diesel) - as they are being held captive by the Nova Corps.
We also get glimpses of other characters like Nebula (Karen Gillan), The Collector (Benicio Del Toro) who has first appeared in a post-credits scene in Thor: The Dark World, and possibly Ronan the Accuser (Lee Pace) holding Drax by the throat.
Guardians of the Galaxy is Marvel Studios' first foray into its cosmic universe, introducing its less-known characters to a wider audience. Directed by James Gunn, the film opens in theaters on August 1, 2014.
