The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Super Bowl Extended Trailer Actually Feels Like Spider-Man

Some say 2012's The Amazing Spider-Man didn't feel very Spider-Man-y at all. Most comments say it's too dark and gritty for a Spider-Man film, and most importantly it doesn't have soul. Or maybe the general audience is just comparing it to Sam Raimi's trilogy too much.

In any case, the sequel's extended trailer released during the Super Bowl by Sony Pictures features a more light-hearted, banter-rific Spidey, just the way we love him.

The problem with extended trailers is they tend to reveal a bit too much. Electro's origin story is pretty much spoiled here. Granted, his origin is basically just your stereotypical supervillain accident, but still.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 opens May 2, 2014, and directed by Marc Webb. It stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Paul Giamatti, Dane DeHaan, Sally Field and Chris Cooper.
