The anti-hero of Marvel, Wolverine's been part of many groups: Canadian goverment, Alpha Flight, X-Men and now the New Avengers. But he's best known as part of X-Men (he's a mutant after all). He has advanced healing powers (does he ever die?) and an adamantium skeletal system.
Wolverine is one of the most popular characters of Marvel. And because of that, he has become so overrated. I don't really like him much. My favorite X-Men member is Gambit, next is Cyclops then followed by Colossus. However, he's still an enjoyable character and it's fun reading him when he's with Spider-Man.
